On Friday, 14th October 2016, St. Michael and All Angels, Great Badminton played host to a concert by Oxford's Christ Church Cathedral Choir in support of The Great Badminton Church Restoration Fund (GBCRF) and Plum Unlimited.
Prior to the concert, the guests enjoyed a Champagne reception in Badminton House's North Hall at the kind invitation of Their Graces The Duke and Duchess of Beaufort.
The Christ Church Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Professor Stephen Darlington, performed an eclectic mix of choral and organ works, both modern and ancient, unexpectedly ending the concert with the traditional hunting song "Do Ye Ken John Peel", much to the delight of the congregation.
The evening was a great success with the congregation enjoying the drinks and music, whilst The Great Badminton Church Restoration Fund and Plum Unlimited were delighted with the funds raised to support their respective projects.
Our thanks go to The Duke and Duchess of Beaufort and The Christ Church Cathedral Choir for providing such a stunning setting and music for the evening, and for Tanners Solicitors of Cirencester for sponsoring the evening.
